Give Yourself a Natural Facelift with a Jade Roller, Gua Sha or 3D Face Roller

You've probably seen these viral skin care tools that seem to provide long-lasting facelifting effects. Professionals and enthusiasts of beauty trends alike favour certain face tools, such as jade rollers, gua sha tools, T-bar tools, and 3D Face rollers.

But what exactly do these products do, and are they even effective? Continue reading to discover more about these skin-enhancing instruments, their applications, and their many advantages, which range from lifting and massaging the face to stimulating lymphatic drainage and plumping the skin.

Jade Roller & Gua Sha

Gua sha and jade rollers are ancient Chinese tools from the seventh century. They have been used for hundreds of years to help enhance lymphatic drainage, which is the process of transferring stagnant waste fluids from tense or puffy areas away from the body through massage and light pressure. They also help relieve facial tension and reduce puffiness around the eyes.

These days, jade and other premium, pure, and natural stones like rose quartz, green aventurine, and amethyst, as well as materials that feel cool and silky against the skin like porcelain and stainless steel, are frequently used to make gua sha tools. For hundreds of years, the gua sha instrument has been utilized in traditional Chinese medicine for the therapeutic purposes indicated above. More recently, it has also been utilized for cosmetic purposes, such as elevating and contouring the face and plumping the lips.

Another face-lifting tool that originated in ancient China is the jade roller. These tools are extremely accessible and simple to use. They are typically made of jade, though they can also be constructed of other stones. To massage a specific part of your face or neck, simply slide the natural face lift tool to that location and roll it over the affected area. To reap the advantages, make several passes in one area (under your eye towards your temple, for example). Gua sha, on the other hand, calls for more skill, so we've broken it down into steps below so you can figure out which tool is right for you and how to get the most of it.

How To Use Your Gua Sha & Jade Roller

Prepare your skin by massaging a facial oil into the desired regions, such as your face and neck, before beginning. Apply a thick layer of oil to your skin, allowing it to get warm in your palms before applying.

The Rosehip Triple C+E Firming Oil is an excellent option for facial massage since it gives you the necessary "glide" and smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by supplying vital fatty acids that enhance the structure of the skin.

Jawline

Glide your gua sha or jade roller around your cheekbones and jawline to alleviate any tension in those areas of your face. Simply use the wider part of the gua sha tool to glide up from the base of the jawline to the top of the cheekbone. The form of the tool may make it appear a little more difficult to use. After around five repetitions on the initial location, switch to the opposite side of the face. Since you should be feeling at ease, feel free to keep applying pressure for however long it takes. The ultimate goal is to get blood circulating, so if it feels nice, don't stop!

Neck

A lot of people get neck stiffness from working in offices and from spending too much time looking down at portable electronics. Hold the preferred instrument at an angle on your neck and slowly work your way up towards your jawline from the base of your neck (by your collarbone) to assist release some of the tension. Work the instrument from the ear down the neck to the collarbone to aid with lymphatic drainage. Continue until the tension releases. These repeated motions are meant to increase blood flow and release tension in your neck.

Puffy Eyes

Gently move the tool over the undereye region, up to the temple, and down to the hairline to help reduce puffiness around the eyes. Like with all these methods, repeat for five to eight times, or until you reach a state of relaxation. To further aid in the reduction of puffiness, swelling, and inflammation, you may also place the gua sha and jade roller in the freezer for a little while before applying it to the affected area.

Forehead

With the gua sha tool, position the narrow end between the eyebrow and the brow bone, then brush upward to the hairline. Apply the same motion with the jade roller to release tension in your forehead by sliding it from the corner of your eye to the temple. Before sweeping up to the hairline, you can apply some pressure to the areas of stress on the tools to keep them motionless.

3D Face Roller

The 3D face roller is a unique device made to improve skin tightness and facial sculpting via massage. These instruments are becoming more and more well-liked since they can better define face contours and enhance the appearance of skin elasticity.

Two tiny rotating balls are arranged in a Y-shape on 3D face rollers. This enables the roller to effectively reach various angles and locations, allowing it to conform to the contours of the face. It enhances facial features and encourages lymphatic drainage by using a rolling action to lift and firm the skin.

How To Use Your 3D Face Roller

Cleanse your face and pat it somewhat dry to improve the grip and contouring effects. Roll outwards starting in the middle of the face, applying more force upward and less downward. Concentrate on lymphatic drainage by utilising a rhythm of three (harder pressure out, lighter back in) to move upward towards the face, starting at the chest area. Before moving on to the face, open up the clavicle and the area above the collarbone.

When applying the roller to the face, begin in the middle of the chin and roll straight up to the jaw. Next, continue to the neck, placing the roller on each side of the neck all the way up to the ear, making sure to comfortably avoid the central thyroid area. The roller's purpose is to adhere to the skin.
